January 12, 2023 marked our 7th year as Owners of Precious Petals Flower Shop in San Diego. Our back story: My husband Rick and I retired from our Arizona jobs, his in the Semi-Conductor industry and mine as a RN. We moved to San Diego and purchased Precious Petals Flower Shop, established more than 40 years ago at its current location in Mission Valley just up the street from Mission San Diego De Alcala. I have been so blessed to be able to realize my dream of owning a flower shop and after finding Precious Petals for sale, we decided to buy it and completely change the look and business mix. We have completed the make-over and love all the positive feedback we have received from our customers!
We remain a small family-owned business: Myself, Rick and my 91 year “young” Mom rounds out the staff! Rick covers not only the delivery, flower processing, shop handyman and overall project manager roles, but he is also our talented artist designing our greeting card line, original artwork and small gift items sold at Precious Petals. My Mom comes to the shop 2-3 days a week to help me out with greeting customers, answering phone calls and keeps the shop spotless – she is our Super Mom!!!
In January 2023, we welcomed Sharene Haux as our part-time designer. Sharene and I met 4 years ago and after getting to know her - we brought her on-board to assist with sales, designing and customer service duties for our Valentine's Day and Mother's Day Holidays for the last 4 years. She has been a hit with our customers and is a dynamo with her energy and "can do" attitude. She will take great care of you and we are so lucky to have her as part of the Precious Petals family - Welcome Sharene!!
We design Florals for Engagements, Weddings and special events such as Bridal and Baby Showers, Birthdays, Anniversaries and Funerals!! We are a custom design flower shop – specializing in original designs set to our customer’s needs and requests; or we will create a Designer’s Choice just for you!!

We specialize in the following services:
A local delivery fee of $15.00 will be added to each order, for each address. (For deliveries outside our local delivery area, this fee may vary.) U.S. orders must be received before 1:00 p.m. in the recipient's time zone to assure same-day delivery. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day. We will do our best to accommodate deliveries at specific times of day, but we cannot guarantee it. We are unable to make deliveries on Sundays. Deliveries requested on this day will be delivered the following business day. Delivery of orders to rural route addresses or cemeteries cannot be guaranteed. We will be happy to accept your international orders if you call our shop directly. We are unable to accept international orders over the Internet. Holiday Deliveries To help assure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season, place your order at least 1 day prior to the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Administrative Professionals Week, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. Our shop will always be closed on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.
